DAAN Obsidian Black Women's BJJ Gi — 380 GSM, IBJJF Legal

If you compete, this is the women's gi to start with.

The Obsidian Black is built on our heaviest fabric: a 380 GSM cotton pearl weave jacket with 290 GSM cotton ripstop pants. Heavier fabric gives you a collar that stays stiff when someone is fighting for it and a lapel that does not go soft halfway through a match.

Black is one of the three colors the IBJJF permits, alongside white and royal blue, so this gi goes straight from class to the bracket. It also hides mat marks better than any other color, which helps when you only have time to wash one gi between sessions.

The trade-off is heat. A 380 GSM jacket is warm, so many women keep it for tournaments and hard sparring and train the rest of the week in a lighter gi from our women's lightweight range.
