Men Grappling Shorts
Men's BJJ shorts are built for one job: staying exactly where you put them while someone actively tries to move you. DAAN MMA grappling shorts are cut for no-gi jiu jitsu, submission grappling and MMA training, with a close fit that gives a training partner nothing to hold and enough give that a deep shot never catches at the hip.
Every pair ships free within the United States, from $50. Training no-gi? Pair them with our men's rash guards

What Are BJJ Shorts?
BJJ shorts are athletic shorts designed for Brazilian jiu jitsu training without the gi. They differ from regular gym shorts in four specific ways:
No pockets — pockets catch fingers and toes during scrambles, which is how fingers get broken
No zips or metal — banned in most competition rulesets and dangerous on the mat
Internal or flat drawstring — an external tie becomes a handle for your opponent
A stretch gusset — allows a full penetration step and deep guard positions
If your shorts have pockets, you are wearing gym shorts on a jiu jitsu mat. Most academies will ask you to change.
