DAAN Vanguard Blue Women's BJJ Gi — Royal Blue, 300 GSM

Royal blue is the competition color most people forget they are allowed to wear.

The IBJJF permits three gi colors: white, royal blue and black. Royal blue is the only one of the three that stands out on the mat and in the podium photo, and the Vanguard Blue is a true royal blue rather than navy. That difference matters, because navy is treated as a separate color and gets turned away at inspection.

The jacket is 300 GSM cotton pearl weave, the light end of our range, with 8 oz cotton ripstop pants. It breathes well in a crowded class and dries in roughly half the time of a heavy competition gi, so it works as a training gi you can also compete in.

The lighter jacket has a softer collar than a 380 GSM build. If your game depends on fighting from a rigid lapel, the Obsidian Black is the heavier option.
